built in every state in this country. that 37 states have something to do with that, even john mccain said that he had sticker shock he saw what the final cost would be. eleven aircraft carriers as well, and china has one carrier, that is from the ukrainian navy. i don't know how good they feel about serving in this aircraft carrier, that is exactly what they had. we have over 200 bases and facilities, china has nothing outside of china itself. .. the kid saved a couple hundred billion dollars over the next ten years by reducing that to reasonable 360,000 soldiers. so there are just some of the things that could be done that could get you to that trillion dollars figure that people say would really disarmed the united states. no, it wouldn't. now, 4,807,000,000,000 has already been agreed to by the senate and house of the next ten years of sequestration that would involve another 4,902,000,000,000 which would get you close to trillion, but there won't be a sequestration. so that kind of cutback we will see, and we don't see anyone in the pentagon really working toward this. leon panet

generator. she did not turn the lights out. in other news, john mccain says he's still not sure how he's going to vote on chuck hagel but he opposes a filibuster for chuck hagel and karl rove is forming yet another super pac to take on fellow republicans. would you buy a used car from this man? i don't think so. why anybody would trust him with a dime after he blew $400 million the last time around. we'll also take a look at president obama yesterday in minneapolis saying people have to decide do they stand with cops or kids. all of that coming up right here on current tv. >> nine. >> this is what 27 tons of marijuana looks like. ." that was senator john mccain grilling his old friend chuck hagel last week at hagel's confirmation hearing. the senate armed services committee was supposed to vote today on hagel's nomination to head the pentagon, but that vote has been postponed after republicans said they hadn't received sufficient information about hagel's financial records and specifically about any payments he's received from foreign sources. that's an odd hurdle given that republicans never seem concerned about foreign revenue sources when it came to nominees from george w. bush. one democratic official working on the hagel nomination told politico, quote, what they're asking is unprecedented, and it's clear that it's information that he's unable to provide. hagel says he can't provide it because it would violate confidentiality of the boards that he serves on. of course, critics say this is about more than incomplete financial records. so why are republicans really holding up hagel's nomination? aaron david miller is vice president for new initiatives at the woodrow wilson center. he has served as an adviser on the

to know that your president is going to survive four years. >> remember carol when we talked about john mccain's age. that came up. it was a realistic concern for people. ronald reagan, obviously. i think this is going to hold chris christie back if he has further applebitions to be president. i think we know he does. but it is out of line for someone like that doctor to diagnose, we have a lot of radio shows that diagnose people based on the way they look. it's irresponsible and doctors that know better wouldn't do that kind of thing. chris christie, again, i think he's a role model and could do a lot. he doesn't have to. but he could show people how hard he is trying to lose weight. i also understand how much of a struggle it is, it is difficult emotionally and physically. >> he was elected governor. would you have thought he would have been elected? >> it's fine to be governor, but that's different -- you are running against a president who was in office, who used to come out of the water like bo derek in hawaii. if chris christie doesn't fix it, it will be a problem. >> he's the governor.
